Important changes to Rep B Pilot Program
Important information regarding Rep B Pilot Program
A Message from UOV Aces:
Dear Parents and Players
It is with disappointment that I must inform you that the Aces Rep B pilot program will not be continuing next season. I want you to know it is not from a lack of trying but the Ottawa Rep B league will not allow us to field less than 2 teams per division and unfortunately the numbers do not support that. The U14, U15, U16 teams will return to their D5 associations and will compete in the UOVMHL as they did before the pilot program.
Thanks
Dustin Hoffman
UOV Aces Chair
The Ottawa Rep B league decided that for us to continue in the Rep B Pilot program, we would need to submit two teams in each age group.
District, and most of the association presidents, thought that if we rostered two teams per division, we would be doing a large disservice to all the kids within our associations. District 5 will return to how things were before the pilot at the U15 level.
What this means for Renfrew (RMHA):
We will be having a U15 Rep B team again in our association and the U16 players will now fall under U18 Rep. House league will still have House B and House C teams depending on strength and numbers of players.
U15 Rep B Coach:
Because we are adding this team back under the RMHA umbrella, we need a coach! Please apply using this link: https://renfrewminorhockey.ca/.../2795/Coaching_Application/ by June 10th, 2025.
We have also extended our coach application deadline for U11, U13 and U18 (as well as U15) coaches to the same June 10th date to ensure all applicants have ample time to get their applications in.
